IPAWS Webinar: Non-Weather Emergency Messages over NOAA Weather Radio
Wednesday, December 8, 2021 @ 1:00 PM EST
Add to Outlook Calendar
IPAWS Alerting Authorities can send Non-Weather Emergency Messages (NWEM) via IPAWS to NOAA Weather Radio receivers. This additional communication pathway increases the reach of public safety information to your communities.
How does it work? Let us explain. Join National Weather Service representatives as they discuss use of IPAWS to issue NWEMs and offer guidance to ensure timely dissemination of your messaging to weather radio users.
IPAWS Program Management Office (PMO) staff will be on hand to answer IPAWS-related questions, explain how to update your alerting permissions, and demonstrate NWEM using the IPAWS Technical Support Services environment.

This webinar will be recorded for future viewing; however, we encourage your live attendance to maximize the time for questions and answers with the presenters. Find recordings of past IPAWS webinars at this link.
