Upcoming Webinar
February 7, 2024 @ 12pm PST (3pm EST)
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) works closely with critical infrastructure stakeholders to enhance awareness of potential threats posed by active shooters by providing no-cost resources, tools, and training.
Preparing for an active shooter event is an integral part of incident response planning. Because these events are unpredictable and evolve quickly, knowing what to do in an active shooter situation can mean the difference between life and death. You may be the help until help arrives.
This two-hour webinar provides information and best practices that supports and enhances emergency action planning capabilities applicable broadly across sectors and provides considerations to mitigate the impacts of an active shooter incident.
This webinar is intended for critical infrastructure owners and operators, as well as members of the public and private sector interested in enhancing their organizational preparedness against an active shooter threat.
Objectives of this webinar include:
- Introduce elements of active shooter/assailant incident response preparedness with guidance from expert instructors.
- Describe common behaviors, conditions, and situations associated with active shooter events.
- Discuss how to recognize potential workplace violence indicators.
- Offer options for considerations to help develop or enhance emergency planning.
Please note: Registration capacity for this virtual event is limited to 475.
