Seminar 7
Negotiating Mid-to-Long-Term Recovery
The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), in partnership with the Oregon Department of Emergency Management and the Idaho Office of Emergency Management, is holding the seventh webinar in the monthly seminar series - Mass Casualty Impact and Recovery - which examines how businesses, organizations, and individuals can better prepare for, respond to, and recover from active shooter and other mass casualty events.
On September 21, 2023 (12-pm ET / 9-am PT), this 90-minute virtual seminar - Negotiating Mid-to-Long-Term Recovery - will discuss factors that a business or organization may need to consider during the early stages of recovering from a mass casualty event, including remembrance events, impromptu memorials, re-modeling and re-envisioning areas where the actual crime occurred, and supporting those concerned with reopening. Guest speakers for this seminar will include representatives from the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, as well as from the National Association of Secondary School Principals - Principal Recovery Network.
This series of webinars is intended for members of the private sector interested in enhancing their organizational preparedness before a mass casualty or active shooter incident.
Each seminar will offer IACET CEUs for each seminar, in compliance with the ANSI/IACET Continuing Education and Training Standard.
