Cyber Society Overview (Virtual Workshop): CYBER.ORG’s Cyber Society course focuses on research analysis, critical thinking, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills. The modules are designed to introduce students to how the world of cyber affects their everyday lives, with topics ranging from law and politics to artificial intelligence and media literacy. The skills they learn from these modules will help them be more confident in how they interact with the ever-growing and connected world around them. In this hands-on-virtual workshop, you will participate in sample activities from the Cyber Society course and learn to implement them in your classroom.

Cyber Society AICS Scenario (Virtual Event): In Analysis and Investigation of Cyber-Based Scenarios (AICS), students take on the role of federal agents as they investigate realistic scenarios related to cybersecurity with potential national ramifications. The agents analyze briefings filled with documents related to the event and sift through to determine what happened and why.
In this interactive PD, you will solve a cyber scenario with other teachers from around the country and learn techniques for implementing this Cyber Society module with students. This workshop will be led by subject matter experts from CYBER.ORG.

Professors in Practice
Every Friday in August, at 11 a.m. EDT, CISA and National Defense University (NDU) will host an interactive and informative program called Professors in Practice. Each week, a featured professor will discuss a topic around this year’s theme of Zero Trust and Cyber Threat Intelligence. These sessions are open to all who wish to attend. In each session, attendants will be able to engage with the professor as they learn important aspects and grasp necessary actions that should be taken for strong, sustainable, and resilient cybersecurity. Each session counts towards one hour of competency development per the 12/12 DHS Leader Development Program (LDP) requirements.
