Family Reunification Parole Processes for Colombians, Cubans,
Salvadorans, Guatemalans, Haitians, and Hondurans

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services invites you to participate in a virtual stakeholder engagement on Friday, Sept. 8, from 1–2:30 p.m. Eastern. We will provide an overview of the Family Reunification Parole (FRP) processes for Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, announced by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on July 10, 2023. USCIS will also share updates on the modernized FRP processes for Cuba and Haiti, announced by DHS on August 11, 2023.
The new and updated FRP processes are part of sweeping measures announced in April 2023 by DHS and the Department of State to further reduce unlawful migration across the Western Hemisphere, significantly expand lawful pathways, and facilitate safe, humane processing of migrants. These processes allow vetted noncitizens who are beneficiaries of approved family-based immigrant visa petitions to be considered for parole into the United States on a case-by-case basis and, if paroled into the United States, be eligible to apply for employment authorization.
