Sign up for a USCIS Online Account

Dear Sir/Madam,  

 

We’re writing to encourage you to sign up for a USCIS online account. 

 

If you have a pending immigration case and the receipt number begins with IOE, you can simply add that case to the online account and be able to: 

  • Sign up for case alerts via text message or email;  
  • Check your case status; 
  • Upload evidence directly to your case;  
  • Send us secure messages; 
  • See all case correspondence and notices; and  
  • Update your address and other personal details. 

 

Having a USCIS online account gives you the tools to easily monitor your case with confidence! 

 

To create an account, follow our step-by-step instructions.  

 

Once you create an account and sign in, you will see four options. Choose “Add a paper-filed case.”

Then, enter your receipt number, Online Access Code and date of birth. Your Online Access Code is listed in the Account Access Notice we mailed you. If you didn’t receive this notice, you can ask for assistance here: my.uscis.gov/account/v1/needhelp.
