Coast Guard, local agencies rescue 53-year-old man near Long Beach

IMAGERY AVAILABLE: The Coast Guard and local partner agencies rescued a 53-year-old man approximately 3 miles south of the Seal Beach Pier Monday morning after an extensive search effort that lasted more than 12 hours.
A Coast Guard Air Station San Diego MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew rescues a 53-year-old man approximately 3 miles south of Seal Beach Pier, California, Aug. 17, 2026. The man was located after a more than 12-hour multiagency search and transported to Long Beach Airport, where he was transferred to emergency medical personnel for treatment.
