Coast Guard Research and Development Center - Research Role in Supporting Sail250

As the U.S. Coast Guard prepares for the Sail250 celebrations, the Research and Development Center (RDC) has been involved from the earliest planning stages. Through its "Sector of the Future" program, the RDC is partnering with Sector Boston to test advanced, low Technology Readiness Level (TRL) capabilities in a complex, real-world environment. While the primary objective remains evaluating developmental systems, integrating these experimental tools into the incident command post organically equips watch standers with a far more comprehensive picture of the congested waterways ahead of the event.
