SUBJ: UPDATES TO MILITARY SEPARATIONS AND RELEASE FROM ACTIVE DUTY
REGULATIONS DUE TO FAILURE TO MEET PHYSICAL READINESS REQUIREMENTS
A. Physical Readiness Program, COMDTINST 6100.1

C. Reserve Duty Status and Participation, COMDTINST 1001.2A
1. Per subject line, in alignment with REF (A), paragraphs 2
and 3 contain changes to policy found in REFs (B) and (C).
2. REF (B) Policy. The following language must be added to
REF (B):
    a. Under Chapter 1.N.4.a., Causes for Separation:

"(9) Failure to meet established physical readiness standards in
accordance with prescribed Service regulations."

    b. Under Chapter 2.L.1, Reasons for Discharge under the
Convenience of the Government:

"u. Failure to meet established physical readiness standards in
accordance with prescribed Service regulations."

3. REF (C) Policy. The following language must be added to
REF (C) under 1.C.2.b., Reserve Component Categories,
Inactive Status List (ISL):

"SELRES service members who meet conditions for
separation under the Physical Readiness Program, COMDTINST 6100.1,
will be transferred to the ISL."

4. Separation. In accordance with REF (A), Service members are
subject to separation if they are non-compliant with the PRP for
three consecutive official PFT cycles.
