2. Purpose: For over 60 years the annual MORS Symposium has been the
national security operations research community's premier forum to
exchange insight, examine emerging research, and address the most
complex analytic challenges facing our nation. Each year, the
Symposium brings together roughly 1,000 operations research and
analytic professionals representing military, government, industry,
and academia to share best practices, sharpen analytic approaches,
and strengthen professional relationships in a collaborative
environment. At its core, this work is focused on supporting the
warfighter with high-quality, decision-ready analysis. The 94th MORS
Symposium will include hundreds of presentations across 35 working
groups and numerous distributed working groups, special sessions,
demonstrations, tutorials, and continuing education unit courses
over the four-day program. Over the last eight years, members from
the Coast Guard Operations Research and Data Analytics community
presented dozens of studies on topics including boat station mission
relevance, forecasting techniques and visualization with Python,
neural networks and artificial intelligence, unstructured data
analytics, applying systems thinking and system dynamics modeling to
improve understanding of service, and programmatic advances in data
analytics and artificial intelligence. This year's sessions will
consist of classified and unclassified presentations.
