Safety Zone

Deep South Racing Assn. Boat Race

 

To ensure the safety of all participants and spectators, the U.S. Coast Guard will establish a temporary safety zone on the Morgan-City Port Allen Route from MM 54.5 to 55.5 DSRA Powerboat Race, beginning on April 25, 2026, lasting through April 26, 2026. The safety zone will be enforced by the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Marine Patrol Unit, who may be contacted on Channel 14 VHF-FM (156.8 MHz) by call sign “PATCOM.”

 

All vessels are prohibited from entering the safety zone between MM 54.5 and 55.5 on the Morgan-City Port Allen Route without approval from the on scene PATCOM. Additionally, no spectator vessel is allowed to anchor, block, loiter, or impede the through transit of participants or a designated representative in the regulated area during the effective dates and times.

 

This safety zone will be in effect during the following dates and times:

Saturday, April 25, 2026      9:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.

Sunday, April 26, 2026         9:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
