SUBJ: 2025 WANDA ALLEN-YEAROUT OMBUDSMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD
RECIPIENT
1. This ALCOAST announces that Mrs. Brianna Scurti, Southwest
District Ombudsman for Sector San Francisco, is the recipient
of the 2025 Wanda Allen-Yearout Ombudsman of the Year Award.
2. As the Ombudsman for Coast Guard Station Golden Gate and
Co-Ombudsman for Sector San Francisco, Mrs. Brianna Scurti
distinguished herself through unwavering dedication and
exemplary advocacy for Coast Guard families. She transformed
communication about CG Housing, provided decisive leadership during
a critical active-shooter incident, and ensured essential support
during the government shutdown. Her proactive efforts improved
housing conditions, strengthened community safety, and delivered
immediate care following traumatic events. She further demonstrated
extraordinary professionalism by preventing the suicide of a distant
service member. Mrs. Scurti's selfless service and profound impact
greatly enhanced family readiness, reflecting great credit upon
herself and the United States Coast Guard.

special recognition for their particularly noteworthy
accomplishments:

5. I extend my sincere congratulations to all the nominees for their
outstanding accomplishments, and to their Commanding Officers for
taking the time to submit these nominations. The 2025 awardees
exemplified remarkable professionalism and dedication in fulfilling
their duties. Bravo Zulu to each of them for a job exceptionally
well done.
