A. Recognition Programs, COMDTINST 1650.26B
1. Nominations are now being accepted for the following Reserve
Organization of America (ROA) sponsored awards for fiscal year 2025:
    a. Admiral Russell R. Waesche Award.
    b. Rear Admiral Bennett "Bud" Sparks Award.
    c. Reserve Outstanding Junior Officer (ROJO) Award.
    d. Reserve Outstanding Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) of the Year
Award.
2. The Coast Guard recipient of the Reserve Outstanding CWO of the
Year Award is automatically named the Coast Guard nominee for the
CW4 Michael J. Novosel Award administered by the ROA.
3. Awards criteria and nominations guidelines can be found in
Chapter 4 of REF (A).
4. Nomination packages must be submitted electronically to
ReserveAwards@uscg.mil by close of business on 01 May 2026.
5. In accordance with REF (A), the Coast Guard Reserve Awards
panel will deliberate and submit its recommendations to
COMDT (CG-R). Results will be announced in a future ALCOAST.
