SUBJ: MILITARY ONESOURCE NON-MEDICAL COUNSELING
1. Military OneSource (MOS), the Coast Guard's provider of Employee
Assistance Services (EAS) for service members and dependents,
transitioned to a new contract vendor on November 1, 2025.
This transition created some service disruptions, including
potentially longer-than-usual hold times and challenges with access
to non-medical counseling services. MOS is working to resolve these
disruptions by December 2025. The USCG Employee Assistance staff
are engaged with the DoW program office and will provide an update
when access is fully restored. This does not affect EAS for
civilian employees and dependents.
2. How this affects Coast Guard service members and dependents:
a. Non-Medical Counseling Services: MOS is currently able to
offer virtual counseling in 39 states and in-person counseling in
19 states (we are working to get fidelity on these geographic
locations). In some cases, a service member and/or dependent may
need to switch to a new counselor if the old counselor is not part
of the new network. MOS will help facilitate the counselor change.
b. For individuals working with a provider (who are not
credentialed with Military OneSource and/or DO NOT want to switch
counselors): Please have the provider contact the Military OneSource
counseling network, at NetworkHelp@Evernorth.com for assistance.

3. If MOS cannot offer the type of counseling desired in a geographic
region, they will refer, via warm handoff, the Coast Guard service
member and/or dependent to other free or covered counseling
resources, such as: (Copy and Paste URLs Below into Browser)
