SUBJ: HALF-MASTING OF NATIONAL ENSIGN
A. U.S. Coast Guard Regulations 1992, COMDTINST 5000.3B
1. As directed by the President of the United States, the National
Ensign shall be immediately lowered to half-staff as a mark of
respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence
perpetrated on August 27, 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, until
sunset on August 31, 2025.
2. The National Ensign shall be flown at half-mast on all
Coast Guard buildings, grounds, and vessels not underway.
3. Internet release is authorized.
