SUBJ: TRANSITION TO MILITARY ONESOURCE FOR USCG SERVICE MEMBERS
1. The CG is pleased to announce to all CG active duty and Selected
Reserve service members, DoD and U.S. Public Health Service military
personnel assigned to the USCG, and their dependents that effective
August 19, 2025, the CG will begin transitioning to Military
OneSource under the Department of Defense for its contracted
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and work-life services (EAP
services).
2. Military OneSource has been providing EAP services for all DoD
military personnel under the "Military OneSource" brand since 2004.
Military OneSource provides a wide range of services beyond
traditional EAP offerings, including confidential counseling,
financial and legal advice, health and wellness coaching, and
resources for education and career development.
3. Military OneSource is available 24/7/365, providing around-the-
clock support through multiple channels, including phone, online
chat, and video counseling, making it highly accessible regardless
of time zone or location.
4. Military OneSource services are free of charge to eligible
individuals, removing financial barriers to accessing support.
5. Military OneSource services are confidential unless there is risk
of harm, abuse or neglect, a legal requirement to disclose, and/or
a duty to warn. These exceptions are in place to ensure safety and
compliance with legal obligations. Outside of these exceptions,
Military OneSource maintains strict confidentiality to protect the
privacy of those it serves.
6. Military OneSource augments each District's EAP Coordinator
(EAPC) or EAP Specialist (EAPS) and was selected because of its
expert knowledge in how to tackle the work-life challenges facing
the Coast Guard workforce. Military OneSource also has the ability
to globally deliver seamless, secure, and expert EAP services in
support of personal well-being and operational effectiveness.
7. The USCG has been offering contracted EAP services under the "CG
SUPRT" brand for many years in support of the CG mission. The CG
SUPRT contract (and the brand) will end on August 25, 2025 and will
be replaced by the Military OneSource contract. The CG will begin
