SUBJ: UPDATE TO COAST GUARD INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SUPPORT (ILS)
A. Coast Guard Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manual,
COMDTINST 4105.14
1. Purpose. This ALCOAST reiterates that Appendices C and D of
REF (A) has been rescinded and that this change will be permanently
enacted with the release of the next revision of REF (A).
2. Background. Appendices C and D establishes the criteria for
conducting an Independent Logistics Assessment (ILA) and a Logistics
Readiness Reviews (LRR) and are intended for use by all personnel
engaged in or supervising logistics assessments. The replacement for
Appendices C and D will be the "Logistics Assessment Checklist_V1.2"
spreadsheet located in the Microsoft SharePoint directory listed in
paragraph 3. To ensure that the highest quality and most applicable
assessments are provided to our Coast Guard programs, this
tailorable checklist is designed to be updated as assessments are
conducted and lessons are learned.
3. The updated online file location for the aforementioned
spreadsheet is the "_Logistics_Assessments_Checklist" subfolder
within the "CG-444 Division" Microsoft SharePoint directory below.

4. The Configuration Management Division, COMDT (CG-444) is the
Technical Authority (TA) for ILS. COMDT (CG-444) performs oversight
on ILS activities and maintains REF (A). Recommendations for
improvement or corrections shall be submitted to COMDT (CG-444).
5. This message is effective immediately and will be cancelled upon
release of the revised REF (A).
