Note 1: These TABs are open to enlisted E-7 and above and officers
who will compete in the same candidate pool. Reference a forthcoming
OPM solicitation in upcoming ALCGPSC for complete eligibility
requirements.
Note 2: These TABS will be filled by enlisted members first. If
there are insufficient enlisted applicants, the selection panel may
select officers. This is a commissioning program for enlisted
selectees.
Note 3: This is a commissioning program for the enlisted workforce,
program details and application deadlines will be sent SEPCOR by OPM
and COMDT (CG-1K2).
3. OPM-1 will publish a comprehensive PG Shopping List for TABs
designated for officers or that will result in a commission.
Enlisted candidates interested in the CGA Instructor TABs should
follow OPM-1 guidance and deadlines. This Excel document can be
found on the OPM-1 PG/Adv Ed SharePoint site:
(Copy and Paste URL Below into Browser)

https://uscg.sharepoint-mil.us/sites/psc_spo/psc-opm/1/a/SitePages/
Post-Grad.aspx

EPM-1 will publish a separate kickoff message for enlisted programs
at a later date. Programs will not be releasing individual
solicitation messages, with few exceptions such as Law, IPAP, and
OLMSTED. The SEFP solicitation ALCOAST will be released by PSC-OPM.
The information typically found in the solicitation messages is
included in the PG Shopping List Excel document.
4. Per REF (B), candidates will incur a service obligation in
addition to any previously obligated service.

7. Out Year Expectations: Fiscal stewardship by respective program
managers is essential to maximizing the number of advanced education
TABs we can offer each year. FORCECOM continues to work with
program managers to identify preferred schools and keep tuition
within annual caps to minimize student out of pocket expenses and
maximize the number of TABs we are able to provide while accounting
for inflationary price increases.
8. FORCECOM can approve the reallocation of TAB(s) to other programs
in the event of a shortage of viable candidates. The reallocation
will be in accordance with the priorities already established by TAB
panel members.
9. Direct questions to Mr. Stephen R. Keck, Chief, Career
Investment Division (Stephen.R.Keck@uscg.mil).
