1. This ALCOAST supports the actions directed in REFs (A) through (G)
to facilitate a standardized and orderly process for validation of
members who have and have not returned to full time in-office work
and the handling of workspace requests.
2. Coast Guard Personnel who were being tracked on the Phase 1
Return to in-office work tracker or have previously requested space
will receive an automated email prompting them to validate their
information and status regarding their return to full-time in-office
work at a federally controlled space. This email will require a
response within 72 hours, during which time members are expected to
review and update their information as necessary. Please be assured
that this information is protected and only accessible to the
member, their supervisor, and authorized PDIT-P team members on a
need-to-know basis. Once a member has validated their information,
an automated email will be sent to their supervisor for
certification, which must also be completed within 72 hours of
receipt. For members and supervisors who are on leave or otherwise
unavailable when the email is received, completion will be expected
on the next business day following their return to work.
3. The validation and certification process will be conducted on a
recurring basis for members who do not have approved exemptions from
returning to in-person work and have not yet returned to full-time
in-office work at a federally controlled space. This recurring
process will help ensure that member information remains up-to-date
and accurate and will continue until all non-exempt members have
returned to full-time in-office work.
4. Round 1 space adjudication from REF (E) has concluded and results
are posted on the PD47 SharePoint site:

in need of space, shall verify if they have a request form submitted
at the following site.

To provide transparency and updates, a space request status board is
being maintained on the PD47 SharePoint site, allowing CG personnel
and supervisors to track the status of their requests. The PDIT-P
will proactively engage with individual units and members to
facilitate space assignments. Additionally, as outlined in REF (E),
any support or equipment requirements beyond basic access to a
printer will be the responsibility of the member's command.
5. Units shall refrain from authorizing space to Other Government
Agencies (OGA) until notified by the PDIT-P. Any unit receiving an
OGA space request shall direct the requestor to fill out the Space
Request Form linked in paragraph 4.
6. CG personnel and units shall refrain from requesting space from
OGAs for Coast Guard members. The PDIT-P is processing space
request forms and will handle all communications to OGAs for space
requests for Coast Guard personnel.
7. Bargaining Unit Employees shall follow the guidance in accordance
with REFs (F) and (G).
8. Employees currently working remotely without an assigned
workspace in the initial space allocation will continue to work
remotely until further notice. A comprehensive plan is being
developed to address each individual's workspace needs, and they
will be informed as soon as a solution is determined. In the
interim, their existing remote work arrangements will remain in
place to maintain operational continuity and minimize disruptions,
ensuring uninterrupted workflow.
9. Be sure to check FAQs related to this and other Executive Orders:

chain of command should be sent to PDIT-P@uscg.mil.
