PROGRAM (NTP)
1. This ALCOAST announces the 56th FEW NTP. The conference will be
held in person from 13-17 July 2025 in Dallas, TX.
A virtual option is not available. This year's theme is "Leveling
Up for Success, Part 2 - Empowering, Inspiring, Succeeding!" The
2025 FEW NTP will focus on providing teaching and learning
activities aimed at helping attendees acquire the knowledge, skills,
abilities, and attitudes needed for advancement.
2. Participation in affinity group symposiums, conferences, or NTPs
provides invaluable opportunities for personal and professional
growth by offering platforms for mentoring, networking, and career
optimization. For updates on the FEW NTP, please visit:

4. This event is open to all employees. Active duty and reservists
of all ranks, civilians, and auxiliarists are encouraged to attend.
CO/OICs are encouraged to promote and support the professional
development of all government employees.
5. All TDY costs must be funded by the member's unit, subject to
availability. DCMS-DPR-4 may assist by funding registration fees.
Once DCMS-DPR-4 funds are expended, registration fees will be at
the unit's expense, subject to availability.
6. For Civilian Employees: Whether on official orders or
self-funded, civilian employees' attendance, including travel time,
is considered work time. Supervisory approval to attend during work
time (including a reasonable amount of travel time) must be
reflected in the remarks section of the employee's timecard. The
remarks must state that the employee is approved for work and travel
time to attend the event during their scheduled tour of duty from
13-17 July 2025. Attendance at events outside of the employee's
scheduled tour of duty is not required and is at the employee's
discretion; therefore, overtime and compensatory time for work
cannot be approved.
7. The uniform for the event is Tropical Blue Long for military
personnel and business casual for civilians.
8. Post-event actions: DHS requires a post-event report to be
submitted within 30 days after the event. To comply, all travelers
on official orders must submit a copy of their full travel voucher
and paid registration invoice no later than 24 July 2025 to
HQS-SMB-CG127-Conference@uscg.mil. Attendees should also provide a
brief to their unit command (e.g., CO/XO, wardroom, Chief's mess,
LDAC) on lessons learned and how attending the event impacted their
professional development and/or personal growth.
