SUBJ: FIRST UNIT ARRIVAL SURVEY DATES AND ACCESS
1. This ALCOAST announces the creation and requirement of the
First Unit Arrival Survey, set to launch in the coming days.
2. The First Unit Arrival Survey is a tool developed to ensure that
what is being taught at our accession sources regarding Core Values
is reflected by our units in the field. It will also help to
continually improve onboarding processes and resources. This survey
will serve as one of many new mechanisms to affect and evaluate
organizational change and strengthen our Service culture.
3. This short survey targets new Sentinels, military and civilian,
approximately 120 days into their first assignment in order to
facilitate communication directly from the workforce. It is
anonymous, can be taken on or off network, and takes about ten
minutes.
4. Commanding Officers, Unit Commanders, and OICs should ensure
that newly reported personnel complete this survey independently
and in a timely manner to ensure honest and accurate survey results.
5. For additional information about the survey, please see the most
recent MyCG article titled "Coast Guard launching a First Unit
Arrival Survey this Fall" and the survey SharePoint site at:
