SUBJ: SELECTION OF THE FY24 SPECIAL COMMAND AIDE OF THE YEAR

1. I am pleased to announce that CSC Mark Denton, Special Command
Aide to RADM Andrew M. Sugimoto, U.S. Coast Guard District 11
Commander, is this year's winner.
2. CSC Denton distinguished himself through noteworthy leadership,
superior job performance, self-improvement, community involvement,
and exemplary commitment to our Core Values.
3. CSC Denton will participate in a competition on 29 September 2024
against enlisted aides from each of the other services. The winner
of this competition will be announced on 30 September 2024 at the
Pentagon Hall of Heroes and recognized as the Inter-Service Enlisted
Aide of the Year.
4. Also warranting special recognition for their outstanding
contributions to the Coast Guard, SCA program, and Culinary
Specialist Rating are the following SCA's, listed alphabetically by
last name:
    a. CS1 Cassandra Belus - District 14 SCA
    b. CS1 Curtis Johnson - JIATF-W SCA
    c. CSC Kenneth Nelson - District 9 SCA
    d. CS1 Jessica Wernicke - District 8 SCA
