SECURITY (DHS) SECRETARY'S ANNUAL AWARDS
1. In October 2023, the Coast Guard solicited nominations for the
annual DHS Secretary's Awards Ceremony in the following categories:
Exceptional Service Award (Gold Medal), Meritorious Service Award
(Silver Medal), Award for Leadership Excellence, Award for Valor,
Award for Innovation, Award for Team Excellence, Champion of Equity
Award, and Award for Volunteer Service. The awards honor the work,
sacrifice, and professional excellence of employees from components
all across the Department of Homeland Security.
2. Upon receipt of many outstanding nominations, the Coast Guard
Awards Review Board reviewed and submitted recommendations to the
Commandant for approval prior to forwarding to DHS for final
consideration. In July 2024, DHS released the names of recipients
of the annual Secretary's Awards.
3. On behalf of the Commandant, it is my pleasure to announce the
following Coast Guard recipients of these prestigious awards:
    a. Award for Exceptional Service (Gold Medal):

4. Congratulations to our Coast Guard recipients and thank you to
all the supervisors that took the time to nominate their personnel
for these prestigious awards. DHS will deliver the Secretary's
Awards at several ceremonies across the country over the next
several months to spotlight the incredible contributions of the DHS
