1. PSC-EPM-2 is soliciting for candidates to fill the following
ET1 position:
GRADE POS NR UNIT LOCATION
ET1 00090601 CGC WAESCHE ALAMEDA, CA
2. IAW Ref (B), Phase 1 Candidates are defined as members who are
below the currently published cut line with their stratified list on
the current, active advancement eligibility list.
3. This position requires CIWS qualification. If you do not
currently possess the qualification, you will PCS to San Diego, CA
to attend CIWS pipeline school before PCS to CGC Waesche OOA 01 APR 25. Report date if you do not possess CIWS qualification: OOA 01 SEP 2024.
Report date if you already possess CIWS qualification: OOA 01 APR 2025.
4. Interested candidates shall submit one PCS E-Resume in Direct Access
NLT COB 20 JUN 2024.
5. Members applying for A2P solicitation shall notify their
XO or the first E-7 in their chain of command of their intention to compete for this assignment prior to the eResume submission deadline listed in paragraph 4.
6. A2P may be used to fill this position if a candidate meets the
criteria in ref (B). If a qualified E5 is selected, the member will
advance to E6 IAW Ref (B), if all other advancement requirements are
met and the advancement recommendation is maintained.
7. Members in Special Assignments may apply to this position.
However, these members must receive a command endorsement addressing
backfill requirements. Commands should be aware that immediate backfills
for Special Assignments are not available and will incur a gap at their
unit until AY25.
8. As a reminder, candidates should ensure their Official Military
Personnel File (OMPF) is complete and accurate (e.g. CG-4082,
CG-3307s, awards, academic transcripts). Members can view their OMPF
by logging onto iPERMS: iPERMS RMA (uscg.mil). If updates to the OMPF
are needed, members can work with their local Personnel & Admin office.
Members are also encouraged to review their ESS in CGBI.
