1. This message updates Assignment Year (AY) 2025 timelines prescribed in reference (a).
2. Background: The 2024 SWE Competition will be reconvened 26-29 August 2024 as prescribed in reference (b). Due to the changes to 2024 SWE, PSC-EPM will delay the release of the official shopping list to best reflect Assignment Year 2025 (AY25) opportunities.
3. Updated AY25 timeline: Any changes to the dates below will be published on the EPM SharePoint Site and respective Assignment Officer (AO) Teams Pages.
A. Updated assignment timeline:
15 Oct 2024: Unofficial shopping list published. Note: Fleet-ups and extensions will not be executed at the time the unofficial shopping list is released.
15 Nov 2024: Official shopping list published.
22 Nov 2024: eResumes due for OIC, XPO, EPO, PATFORSWA and members tour complete who are in assignment priority 1 and 2 billets. (Note paragraph 3.C)
15 Dec 2024: PCS eResumes due for most ratings.
15 Dec 2024 - 31 Mar 2025: AOs slate members and issue orders.
B. EPM-2 will publish supplemental timelines for specific ratings, command positions, and detached duty assignments as necessary. Refer to rating-specific SITREPS and EPM-2 Assignment Officer SharePoint Site and TEAM’s pages for additional guidance and deadlines.
C. EPM will provide career counseling to members competing for OIC, XPO, and EPO positions, departing PATFORSWA, or are tour complete in AY25 with an assignment priority 1 or 2 to ensure full understanding of compressed timelines, if desired by members.
D. The advancement opt-out window will be extended to 15 Dec 2024. Members who opt-out from advancement will be removed from the advancement eligibility list and will not be eligible to compete for any future Advance to Position opportunities.
4. CG Sharepoint Site: The EPM-2 AO Sharepoint Site is the central location for news and information within each rating. The AO Sharepoint pages are located at:
