SUBJ: POLICY UPDATE TO PERFORMANCE TRAINING AND EDUCATION MANUAL

A. Performance Training And Education Manual (PTEM), COMDTINST
1500.10D
1. This ALCOAST announces an update to REF (A), to clarify obligated
service requirements for Aviation Engineers (AEN-10).
2. Paragraph 11.B.7 is updated to replace the first sentence with
the following: "Officers completing this course of instruction will
incur three years of obligated service to run concurrently to any
previous obligated service, regardless of the time spent in
training."
3. These policy changes have been incorporated into the next
revision of REF (A), which will be released within the next year.
4. This message will be cancelled 10 DEC 2024 or when REF (A) is
revised.
