ROYAL NAVY EXCHANGE

1. PSC-EPM-2 is soliciting candidates to fill the following position:
GRADE POSN NR UNIT/POSITION LOCATION
MK1 19368476 DDE-UK ENGINEERING DUTY PORTSMOUTH, UK
2. This is a three year tour with the United Kingdom's Royal Navy
(UKRN), on Royal Navy vessels. The UKRN has requested USCG support
to help raise the level of engineering proficiency and specialty
knowledge in the fleet. This assignment affords MKs at the E-6
paygrade a unique opportunity to participate in operations with the
UKRN around the globe. Upon arrival in the UK, these members will
complete three months of orientation and training followed by afloat
assignments. There will only be one USCG member attached to each
UKRN ship.
3. Selected member will have a report date of 01 JUL 2024.
4. Individuals tour complete in AY24 or AY25 are eligible to apply.
Members in receipt of AY24 EPO orders will not be considered.
5. There are no gender restrictions and this can be an accompanied
or unaccompanied assignment. Following the successful completion of
this tour, members that deployed on Royal Navy ships will receive
Assignment Priority 2.
6. Interested candidates shall submit a PCS E-Resume in Direct
Access using the position number listed above NLT COB 03 NOV 2023
ensuring it is forwarded to the unit command for endorsement.
7. To be considered for selection, interested candidates must
obtain a command endorsement that addresses member's ability to:
a. Meet the minimum standards for Special Duty Assignments as
stated in 1.E.2.a of Ref A.
b. Meet requirements for OCONUS assignment IAW 1.H.3 of Ref A. Of
particular note, applicants should not have more dependents than
listed in 7.b of Ref B.
c. Meet the demands of an embedded assignment with a foreign navy and
represent the USCG with distinction. Essential qualities: adaptability,
professionalism, initiative, and maturity.
