SUBJ: AY24 RATING KNOWLEDGE MANAGER OPPORTUNITIES
A. Military Assignments and Authorized Absences, COMDTINST M1000.8A
1. PSC EPM-2 is soliciting for high performing Master Chief Petty Officers
interested in applying for the applicable Rating Knowledge Manager (RKM)
position. This career enhancing assignment, with broad Service level impact
will directly shape the future of their given rating. On any given day, the RKM
works closely with RFMCs to ensure applicable resources are readily available
to all members of the rating, manage rating performance qualifications and
develops their respective service wide exam. The ideal RKM has a diverse
assignment history, with a strong record demonstrating outstanding leadership,
communication skills, organization, and attention to detail.
2. PSC-EPM is soliciting interested members for selection as the
next RKM of the following ratings:

3. Eligibility:
a. Active-duty E9s or those E8s who are above the cut for E9 by 01DEC2023
within the applicable rate above;
b. Tour complete in AY24, AY25 or AY26;
c. Meets the requirements listed in reference (A), CH 1.E.2.
d. Must have an endorsement for the position from the first O6/GS-15 in
their chain of command, submitted in DA prior to the deadline. Late
endorsements will not be accepted.
4. Submit an E-Resume for the RKM position and all other desired billets
NLT 01 DEC 2023.
5. As part of the application process, candidates should expect a brief
phone interview with a representative from EPM-2, FORCECOM and the Rating
Force Master Chief to address their desire to assume the duties and
responsibilities of the assignment.
6. As a reminder, candidates should ensure their Official Military
Personnel File (OMPF) is complete and accurate (e.g. CG-4082, CG-3307s,
awards, academic transcripts). Members can view their OMPF by logging onto
iPERMS: https://iperms.mymilrecord.uscg.mil/login/. If updates to the OMPF
are needed, members can work with their local Personnel & Admin office.
The ESS provides a consolidated view of their information as it appears
in Direct Access.
