SUBJ: OFF-SEASON CAPT SOLICITATION FOR COMMANDANT (CG-SAR)
1. An off-season CAPT assignment solicitation exists for a Captain or
Captain (select) to serve as the COMMANDANT (CG-SAR) Office Chief,
position number 0001838. The expected report date, in alignment with
the Assignment Year (AY) 2023 timeline, is 1 Jul 2023.
2. Interested Captains and Captains (select) should apply via e-mail to
Captain Patrick Dougan and Captain Catherine Carabine by COB 10 Feb 2023.
Requests for consideration must include a flag endorsement (via email) from
the first flag in the applicant's chain of command addressing backfill
requirements and the acceptability of a potential gap. Those officers
assigned during the AY2023 Captain Assignment Panel shall receive a
flag endorsement from the first flag in the position the applicant is
assigned into for AY2023, addressing backfill requirements and the
acceptability of a gap. Those Captains who were not in play for AY2023,
but interested in this position, shall also provide an updated bio by COB
on 10 Feb 2023.
