1. In accordance with REF (A), members currently assigned to a SERA
billet are expected to complete the SERA Coast Guard Learning
Management System (LMS) course (502466) as one of the requirements
to attain the SERA competency code. This course has been revised and
is now available in the LMS course catalog.

2. REF (B) authorized a waiver process for completion of the SERA
Coast Guard LMS course (502466) to allow members otherwise qualified
to attain the SERA competency code while the course was offline.
If a unit conducted a local SERA workshop prior to 12 December 2022,
the unit may submit a waiver request in accordance with REF (B).
No other waivers under REF (B) will be accepted.
3. POC: Submit questions to COMDT (CG-R55), LCDR Samantha Block at
Samantha.M.Block@uscg.mil.
4. RADM Miriam L. Lafferty, Assistant Commandant for Reserve
(CG-R), sends.
