As the height of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season approaches, we thought we’d drop a note of cheer from our office to yours.
Throughout the year we work to ensure the safe passage of vessels through or under bridges that are across the navigable waters of the United States and its territories, including waters between the U.S. and Canada or Mexico.
The Coast Guard Bridge Program includes just over 50 members distributed across the United States in 10 district offices plus headquarters. District Bridge Offices handle the bulk of bridge permitting, operations coordination, and monitoring construction, maintenance, or repair. Headquarters manages program policy and issues major bridge project permits. If you have any questions in general or about a specific project, please contact the District Bridge Office in your area.
General information on the USCG Bridge Program, as well as links to other useful information, can be found via our home page: https://www.dco.uscg.mil/Office-of-Bridge-Programs/.
In the coming new year, we look forward to working with you and hope to see you in person at the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting. This meeting is scheduled for January 8-12 in Washington, DC. Look for us at the Coast Guard Marine Transportation System booth and say “hi.”
Until then, we wish you the happiest of holidays filled with family, friends, and good cheer!!
