SUBJ: OFF-SEASON CAPT SOLICITATION FOR USCGC JAMES COMMANDING OFFICER
1. An off-season Captain assignment opportunity exists for a Captain
or Captain (select) to serve as the USCGC JAMES, Commanding Officer,
position number 19366015. The expected report date is 2 Jan 2023.
2. Interested officers should apply via e-mail to Captain Patrick
Dougan and Captain Catherine Carabine by COB 11 Nov 2022. Requests
for consideration must include a command endorsement (via email) from
the first flag in the applicant's chain of command addressing backfill
requirements and the acceptability of a potential gap until Assignment
Year (AY) 2023. Those interested Captains who are not in play for
AY2023, but interested in this position shall also provide an updated
Captain bio by COB on 11 Nov 2022.
