Engineering (MSSE). The updated language reflects the requirement
for candidates for MSSD and MSSE specialties to successfully
complete the EMITP.
2. Update REF (B) to add subparagraph (7) to Article 3.H., which
reads, "Applicants to the MSSD and MSSE specialties must have
successfully obtained the Journeyman Marine Inspector (JMI)
requirements outlined in M1500.6 article 4.a through the EMITP
program."
3. This update is effective immediately and will be reflected in
the next revision of REF (B), which will be released within
the next year.
4. This message will be cancelled on 27 OCT 23.
