Media Advisory: U.S. Coast Guard to hold Commandant’s change-of-command ceremony
WASHINGTON -- Adm. Karl L. Schultz is scheduled to be relieved as Commandant of the Coast Guard by Adm. Linda L. Fagan in a change-of-command ceremony at Coast Guard Headquarters on June 1st.
WHAT: Commandant’s change-of-command ceremony
WHEN: Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 11 a.m.
WHERE: U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, 2703 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, Washington, D.C., 20593
Interested media must respond no later than noon, May 30, 2022, via email to MediaRelations@uscg.mil to ensure credentialing and access to the headquarters campus. There will be no last-minute exceptions or substitutions for media personnel the day of the ceremony. Media must arrive between 8:30 and 9:00am on the day of the event. A valid state or federal-government issued photo ID must be presented for all individuals to obtain visitor access to the campus. Additional information regarding campus access will be provided with attendance confirmation.
All email requests for media credentials must include:
- Name of media representative
- Job being performed (i.e. reporter, photographer)
- Media affiliation (i.e. newspaper, TV station)
- Email address
- Phone number
- Date of birth
