1. Event. The Military Operations Research Society (MORS) and the
Marine Corps University (MCU) are co-hosting the 2022 MORS
Symposium at the MCU located in Quantico, VA from
13-16 June 2022. This year's theme is Innovative Analysts
Supporting Integrated Deterrence. More information can be found

2. Purpose. The 90th MORS Symposium will include hundreds of
presentations across 35 Working Groups and numerous Distributed
Working Groups, Special Sessions, Demonstrations, Tutorials, and
Continuing Education Unit Courses over the four-day program. Over
the last five years, members from the Coast Guard Operations
Research and Data Analytics community have been invited to present
nearly 41 papers on topics including boat station mission
relevance, forecasting techniques and visualization with Python,
neural networks and artificial intelligence, unstructured data
analytics, and applying systems thinking and system dynamics
modeling to improve understanding of service. This year's sessions
will consist of classified and unclassified presentations.
3. Conference Attendance Information.
a. Attendance, travel, and conference fees will be at unit
discretion and expense. If funding is not available,
permissive orders are authorized per CH 2.A.10. of REF (B).
Attendees are responsible for making their own registration,
travel, and lodging accommodations.
b. Early registration conference fee is $360 for MORS members
and $460 for non-members. Regular registration fee is $560
and $660 respectively.
c. All attendees are required to be fully vaccinated and must
adhere to DoD/COVID-19 restrictions during the symposium.
Proof of vaccination must be sent to Ms. Sarah Madonia at
sarah.madonia@mors.org no later than 10 June 2022.
d. Key Dates.
1) 11 February 2022 - Deadline for abstract submission
2) 04 March 2022 - Provide CG-2070 estimated costs to
the conference POC.
3) 01 April 2022 - Early registration ends
4) 13 May 2022 - Regular Registration ends
5) 10 Jun 2022 - Deadline to send proof of vaccination
4. Member's responsibility. In order to attend the conference,
member is responsible for providing the following requirements
to the POC in Paragraph 6:
a. IAW DHS Conference Policy (online or in-person): If the
event is an online/virtual conference and the registration
fee is under $2,500 per person irrespective of the number
of attendees, then a conference package is not required.
However, COMDT (CG-771) must provide a final count of all
USCG participants. Please forward an email to the POC in
Paragraph 6 with the following information:
