"Payslips" for the 14 January 2022 payday are available in Direct Access. Report any discrepancies through the P&A Office (Admin) to the SPO. If SPOs cannot address or need assistance, the SPO will submit a trouble ticket. Payslips can be accessed via the Self-Service "View" menu - https://hcm.direct-access.uscg.mil/

The more you understand some of the basics of the various pay, special pays and allowances, the better you are able to make sure the information we need to compute your pay each month is up-to-date. The tool available to all military members each payday is the Direct Access Payslip. This report lets you know the information our systems use to process your pay, details about the pay and allowances you are eligible for, payroll deductions, as well as your leave balance. The following guides will help you understand your Paysliip.

The mid-month payday is Friday, 14 January 2022. Paydays are the 1st (end-month) and the 15th (mid-month) of each month, or the business day preceding the 1st or the 15th if either should fall on a federal holiday, Saturday or Sunday. Members should not set up automated payments or assume funds will be available prior to published paydays. Members should verify with their financial institutions as to the actual time funds are available to their account. 2022 Master Chief Advancement Panel (MCAP) Announcement

ALCGENL message 002/22​ announces the 2022 Master Chief Advancement Panel (MCAP), which will convene to recommend eligible active duty Senior Chief Petty Officers (SCPOs) for advancement to Master Chief Petty Officer for all ratings, except MU. COs and OICs must ensure dissemination of the message to all active duty SCPOs within their commands. SCPOs must be aware of the eligibility requirements outlined in the message and its references.

The new Financial System Modernization Solution (FSMS) is now live enabling members to receive reimbursement for recent TDY travel, as well as arranging future TDY travel through the E-Government Travel System (ETS). If you need an amendment and/or an approval for travel, these functions are now also available.

DA Orders Accounting Data Conversion to FSMS Standard

 (ALCGPSC 06/22):  ​At 2000 EST, Wednesday, 12 January 2022, availability to Direct Access orders will be read-only for all users. The scheduled reactivation of full access to orders in Direct Access is 0001 EST, Wednesday, 19 January 2022, and is based on the successful conversion of all FY22 orders. This lockdown is necessary to support the deployment of FSMS. During this period of read-only availability, all FY22 orders will be converted to utilize FSMS accounting data. This applies to all Direct Access orders types: ETQC, PCS, separations, and reserve orders. Units may issue orders via memorandum to authorize travel in urgent and emergency situations.

2022 Dislocation Allowance (DLA)

The purpose of DLA is to partially reimburse a member for the expenses incurred in relocating the household on a PCS, ordered for the Government's convenience, or incident to an evacuation. This allowance is in addition to all other allowances authorized in this Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and may be paid in advance.

2021 PCS Mileage (MALT) and TDY Mileage Rates

Effective 1 January 2022, the MALT (monetary allowance in lieu of transportation) rate per authorized POC (privately owned conveyance) is $0.18 per mile. This rate is effective for all PCS travel that commences on or after 1 January 2022 (i.e., the initial travel is started). TDY mileage rates changed on 01 January 2022. The new TDY rates shown in the article.

The 2022 National Defense Authorization Act includes a 2.7% across the board increase in basic pay for military personnel. The increase is effective on 1 January 2022.

DoD Releases 2022 Continental U.S. Cost-of-Living Allowance Rates

The Defense Department released today the 2022 Continental United States Cost-of-Living Allowance (CONUS COLA) rates, which take effect Jan. 1, 2022. In 2022, $8.5 million will be paid to approximately 6,000 service members stationed within CONUS.

Basic Allowance for Housing Rates for 2022 Released

The Department of Defense has released the 2022 Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) rates. BAH rates will increase an average of 5.1 percent when the new rates take effect on January 1, 2022. An estimated $25.6 billion will be paid to approximately one million service members. The temporarily increased BAH rates, effective October 1, 2021 for 56 military housing areas across the country, will expire on December 31, 2021 and will be replaced by the 2022 BAH rates.
