HONOLULU — The media are invited to attend the Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point change of command ceremony, Friday.
During the ceremony Capt. John Rivers will relieve Capt. Andrew Eriks as the commanding officer of Air Station Barbers Point while Rear Adm. Matthew Sibley, commander, Coast Guard 14th District, presides.
Eriks is moving on to continue his Coast Guard career as the Office of Aviation Forces (CG-711) Chief of Aviation Forces.
Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point enhances the readiness of the Coast Guard 14th District with long range patrol and logistical support capabilities over 12.2 million square miles of open ocean, atolls, and island nations
What: Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point change of command ceremony.
When: Friday, July 9, at 10 a.m., media should arrive at Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point no later than 9 a.m.
