Waterway Status – Temporary Partial Closure
of Grand Pass Channel
Mariners are advised that on April 20, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Grand Pass Channel will be closed to navigation within a half mile radius of approximate GPS position 29 15-42.2226N, 089 21-1.8109W while Weeks Marine Inc. installs a submerged dredge sediment pipeline as part of a marsh creation project. On-scene tug boats (AJAX, DOUGLAS B, and MASTER MYLES) and crew boat (NOEL R) will monitor VHF-Channels 16 and 17.
