SMFF Core GSA Updates Completed

united states coast guard

Good Day,

If your Vessel Response Plan incorporates Salvage and Marine Firefighting core geographic specific appendices by reference, be advised:

Revisions or amendments to an approved response plan must be submitted to the VRP Program for approval whenever there is a change in the identification of response related resources, including changes to SMFF core GSAs.

The Salvage and Marine Firefighting (SMFF) core Geographic Specific Appendices (GSAs) voluntarily submitted to the Coast Guard for review by SMFF resource providers are as listed below:

Donjon-SMIT Americas LLC (formerly Ardent Americas LLC):

     Revision 15 (01.01.2021)

Donjon-Smit LLC:

     Revision 2021-28 (01 January 2021)

Rapid Ocean Response Corporation (*For COTP Charleston / SMFF Service #19 Only):

     Version 5 (January 1, 2021)

Resolve Salvage and Fire (Americas), Inc:

     Revision 01.01.21 (01-01-2021)

T&T Salvage LLC:

     Revision 31 (01 January 2021)

The Vessel Owner/Operator must revise their VRP to reflect the current date and revision number of their contracted SMFF resource provider’s accepted core GSAs. SMFF core GSA revision information may be provided in the record of changes or in the cover letter/certification statement, so long as the text of the GSA section of the VRP indicates where the SMFF core GSA version and date information may be found.

Current SMFF core GSA information is maintained at http://Homeport.uscg.mil. In the blue bar at the top of the screen, highlight MISSIONS / in the drop down menus that follow; highlight ENVIRONMENTAL / VESSEL RESPONSE PLAN PROGRAM / SALVAGE AND MARINE FIREFIGHTING and select IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS. Open CURRENT CORE SMFF GSAS.

Don't hesitate to contact the VRP Program for further information, at vrp@uscg.mil.

Respectfully,

MST1 Matt Tyson
