SUBJ:  2020 COAST GUARD RESERVE NATIONAL AWARDS SOLICITATION
A. Recognitions Programs Manual, COMDTINST M1650.26 (series)
B. Coast Guard Reserve Awards Panel, COMDTINST 1650.12 (series)
1. Nominations are now being accepted for the following Reserve
Organization of America (ROA) sponsored awards for FY 2020:
    a. Admiral Russell R. Waesche Award.
    b. Rear Admiral Bennett "Bud" Sparks Award.
    c. Reserve Outstanding Junior Officer (ROJO) Award.
    d. Reserve Outstanding Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) of the Year
Award.
2. The Coast Guard recipient of the Reserve Outstanding CWO of the
Year Award is automatically named the Coast Guard nominee for the
CW4 Michael J. Novosel Award administered by the ROA.
3. Awards criteria and nominations guidelines can be found in
Chapter 7 of REF (A).
4. Nomination packages must be submitted electronically to
COMDT (CG-R55) by close of business on 30 April 2021 to the POC
listed below.
5. In accordance with REF (B), the Coast Guard Reserve Awards
panel will deliberate and submit its recommendations to
COMDT (CG-R). Results will be announced in a future ALCOAST.
6. Awards will be presented at the 2021 ROA National Convention, 
21-24 October 2021 in Memphis, TN.
7. COMDT (CG-R) may fund travel for command representatives and
individuals to accept awards.
