SUBJ:  CG_IDEAS@WORK NOW ACCESSIBLE THROUGH DESKTOP ICON ON COAST GUARD STANDARD
WORKSTATIONS
1. This ALCOAST announces the addition of the CG_Ideas@Work desktop icon on all Coast
Guard Standard Workstations connected to the CGOne network.
2. CG_Ideas@Work provides members with the opportunity to submit and discuss ideas that
can bring transformational change and lasting impact to the Coast Guard. The platform
is open to the entire workforce and is used at all levels from flag officers to our most
junior members to share ideas for advancing the service.  
3. Members can access the platform through any of the methods below:
   a. Double-click the new CG_Ideas@Work icon on your desktop.
   b. Open Internet Explorer and click ‘Favorites.’  Under the ‘US Coast Guard’ folder
click ‘USCG Web Apps’ then click the CG_Ideas@Work link.
   c. Visit the following web address from any internet browser:
https://cg-ideasatwork.ideascalegov.com
4. CG_Ideas@Work does not require a CGOne network connection; the site is accessible from
standard workstations or any personal device with internet access. Participation is open
to all Coast Guard military, civilian, auxiliary, and contractor personnel with a uscg.mil
email address.
5. New users should create an account and password using their uscg.mil email address.
Users need to access their Coast Guard email for a one-time account verification.
Auxiliarists should register using their @cgauxnet.us email address.
6. CG_Ideas@Work facilitates the Commandant’s call to lower barriers to innovation,
strengthen service innovation initiatives, and accelerate the process of moving the best
ideas to service-wide implementation. The Coast Guard values innovation, and this platform
allows every member of the workforce to enhance our missions and support activities through
ingenuity and expertise. Participation is strongly encouraged, and we invite you join the
conversation and submit ideas.
