Video Release: Drone footage shows barges lodged beneath I-10 bridge

HOUSTON — Responders with the San Jacinto River Fleet Unified Command used a drone to conduct initial damage assessments of the I-10 bridge that at least two barges struck Friday.  

The unified command’s number one priority is the safety of the public and responders. There is currently no health threat to the public. 

There are no reports of pollution from the barges involved in this incident; pollution teams, to include air and water monitoring, remain on site and are prepared to respond if the situation changes.
