Members of the media are invited to get underway with the cutter's crew to learn about how this ship will help the Coast Guard perform its missions in California and to see the updated equipment and living spaces.
The Robert Ward is the second of four FRCs to be homeported at Coast Guard Base Los Angeles-Long Beach. While the cutter will be based in Southern California, it will operate throughout the 11th Coast Guard District, which includes all of California and international waters off of Mexico and Central America.
