SUBJ: PROMULGATION OF AN/SPS-50 MARINE RADAR ELECTRONIC PERFORMANCE SUPPORT SYSTEM (EPSS)
1. The AN/SPS-50 Marine RADAR EPSS has been promulgated and shall be reviewed by all
Electronics Technicians (ETs) who maintain the AN/SPS-50 RADAR. AN/SPS-50 RADAR
operators (watchstanders) are also highly encouraged to do the same.
2. The EPSS is a valuable tool designed to enhance ET ability to maintain, troubleshoot,
and make organizational level RADAR repairs, as well as provide RADAR operators with
guidance to optimize RADAR capabilities. The EPSS also provides a centralized repository
for ALL necessary AN/SPS-50 RADAR technical documentation and reference material such
as technical publications, drawings, graphics, maintenance procedure cards, and an
illustrated parts breakdown.
3. The official EPSS library is hosted by Force Readiness Command Training Division (FC-T)
and is maintained by C3CEN. The EPSS Catalog can be accessed by navigating to CGPortal,
selecting ‘Training and Education,' then selecting 'Electronic Performance Support
Solutions (EPSS)’ under the 'Job Performance' menu. The direct link is:
