A. Machinery Space Firefighting (MSF) Coastal Patrol Boat 87 (WPB)
Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures, CGTTP 3-91.21
1. REF (A) is promulgated and shall be reviewed by all 87 ft WPB
Commanding Officers (COs)/Officers in Charge (OICs) and all cutter
personnel conducting firefighting in a machinery space onboard 87 WPBs.
2. REF (A) offers best practices for COs/OICs for prevention of and
response to a machinery space fire, to include updated cutter
specific checklists.
3. The official electronic version of REF (A) is maintained by Force
Readiness Command Training Division (FC-T) within the TTP library.
The TTP library can be accessed by navigating to CGPortal, selecting
‘Training & Education,' then selecting ‘Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.'
4. Bravo Zulu to members of the Integrated Process Team (IPT) for
their time, professionalism, and diligence. IPT partners who supported
this effort include COMDT (CG-452), ATO LANT, HSWL (se), SFLC, and the
87 ft WPB fleet.
