GOLDSBORO, N.C. - The Coast Guard is working with federal, state, and local officials across North Carolina to rescue residents affected by flooding caused by Hurricane Florence, Sunday.

The Coast Guard has deployed several Shallow-Water Response Teams aboard 16-foot aluminum response boats to conduct search and rescue operations.

The Coast Guard is conducting search and rescue operations in support of state and local emergency operation centers.
