SUBJ: PROMULGATION OF CHANGE 2 TO THE COAST GUARD MEDICAL MANUAL
A. COAST GUARD MEDICAL MANUAL, COMDTINST M6000.1 (series)
1. This ACN announces the promulgation of Change 2 (CH-2) to REF (A).
2. The following summarizes the policy changes included in CH-2:
A. Chapter 2 Section E - Requires medical clearance per the Coast Guard
Occupational Medicine Manual, COMDTINST M6260.32 (series) for federally employed
civilians, non-federally employed civilians, and United States Public Health Service
officers not assigned to the Coast Guard for boat crew job assignments if they will
be berthing (whether at sea or in port) on a Coast Guard cutter.
B. Chapter 4 Section B - Added and Deleted Forms from the Health Record Forms List.
C. Chapter 4 Section E - Added and Deleted Forms from the Employee Medical Folder, SF-66D.
D. Chapter 12 - Removed Content of this Chapter and referred reader to the Coast Guard
Occupational Medicine Manual, COMDTINST M6260.32 (series).
E. Chapter 14 - Occupational Medical Surveillance and Evaluation Program (OMSEP)
examination dates will be entered into the Medical Readiness Reporting System (MRRS) database.
3. All Coast Guard health care facility personnel shall review this update to REF (A) and
implement changes.
4. No paper distribution will be made of CH-2 to REF (A). An electronic version is located
on the CGPortal at: https://cgportal.uscg.mil/library/directives/SitePages/Home.aspx.
