Media Availability: Mobile Coast Guard members holding media event to highlight storm preparation efforts

MOBILE, Al. – Coast Guard members at Coast Guard Sector Mobile are scheduled to hold a media event Sunday to address how the Coast Guard is preparing and how the public can prepare for Subtropical Storm Alberto.

  • Who: Capt. Malcolm McLellan, commanding officer of Sector Mobile
  • What: McLellan will provide information on how the Coast Guard is preparing for Subtropical Storm Alberto and how the public can prepare
  • When: 3 p.m. Sunday
  • Where: Coast Guard Sector Mobile, 1500 5th Street, Mobile, AL 36615

Media planning to attend should RSVP by contacting Petty Officer 3rd Class Lora Ratliff at 618-225-9008 for access to the base. Media should plan to arrive no later that 2:45 p.m.
