Media Advisory: Coast Guard interviews before Thunder Over Louisville

 

Who: Coast Guard Sector Ohio Valley members

What: Pre-event media briefing

When: Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

Where: Louisville Waterfront Park near the Louisville Metro Police Department.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Coast Guard will be available for media interviews to discuss the Thunder Over Louisville event in Louisville, Tuesday.

The Coast Guard will have a 29-foot Response Boat-Small and boatcrew present and will offer the opportunity for members of the press to ride aboard.

During the ride-alongs, Coast Guard personnel will be available to discuss their preparations for Thunder Over Louisville and special local regulations that will be in effect during the event including the dates and times of river closures, various operating conditions that boaters could face and safe boating practices that should be observed year round.
