SUBJ:  COAST GUARD (CG) CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER (CDC) WAIT LIST MANAGEMENT AND ELIGIBILITY

1. A review of REF (A) was recently conducted and as a result, we are making several changes to better align CDC wait list management processes. Effective immediately, the priority system to determine CDC eligibility for Coast Guard (CG) CDC enrollment will change per REF (A).
2. All personnel affiliated with CG CDCs, as management, patrons, or future patrons should visit the link: http://www.dcms.uscg.mil/worklife/Child-Care/Child-Development-Centers/ to get the latest information on changes concerning eligibility and wait list prioritization criteria.
3. All CDC wait list applications will be prioritized based on the guidance and priorities outlined on the Work-life website.
4. CDCs can enter into consortium agreements with private entities if desired by the CDC Director.
5. Armed Forces active duty members who are currently on the CG CDC wait list will be informed in writing by CDC management of these changes and will be re-prioritized.
6. REF (B) will be updated accordingly and will be released within the next year of this ACN.
